Youth Ministry

In His Service PDF Print E-mail

We know that no one strategy, activity, or program is sufficient in promoting the three goals to which we subscribe.  We recognize that in order for us to achieve our goals it will take the entire Church working together.  The three main goals to which we are committed are:

  • Goal 1: To embolden young people to live as disciples of Jesus Christ in our society.
  • Goal 2: To have our children enthusiastically participate in the life, mission, and work of our Catholic faith community.
  • Goal 3: To foster the total personal and spiritual growth of each child here at St. Catherine’s.

"Our Promise" exemplifies our commitment to our young people.

Our youth ministries seek to help young people learn what it means to follow Jesus Christ and to live as his disciples today, empowering them to serve others and to work toward a world built on the vision and values of the reign of God. We see this in their mission statements:

B’Tween Life Mission:

B’Tween Life will create for the middle school children of the parish (in PSR and those from the Parish School) an “identity” and a guidance council of peers and support personnel on whom they can rely to help further their growth in fellowship, their Catholic faith, and to fully integrate them into the faith community that is St. Catherine of Siena.

Life Teen Mission:

Life Teen will foster community among our parish youth and is dedicated to building a community for teens, a sense of belonging and ownership of their role in the church.  This youth ministry follows several key principles:

  • To empower young people to live as active disciples of Jesus Christ in the world today
  • To draw young people to responsible participation in the life, mission, and work of the Catholic faith community.
  • To foster the total personal and spiritual growth of each young person
  • To provide support, training, and encouragement at every turn.

Columbian Squires Mission:

The Columbian Squires program strives to provide the spiritual, cultural, civic, social and physical improvement of its members, and the development of their leadership qualities.
