Welcome to our newest ministry for all Middle School children here at St. Catherine’s. You’ve probably seen our notices in the bulletin, but you may not know what we’re all about. We’d like to correct that right here and now.
We are creating, for all Middle School children, an “identity” separate from the elementary school and the “Life Teen” group of high school age kids. We settled on “B’Tween Life” as our name to represent a group in transition.
We offer our Middle Schoolers a separate “community” of peers, guidance, and support personnel on whom these children can rely to help further their growth in their Catholic faith, fellowship, and to more fully integrate them into the faith community that is St. Catherine of Siena.
In our inaugural year we have already been very busy. To date we have: • Done a parish clean up day and cookout • Gone bowling and gaming at US Play • Headed off to the Cherokee Retreat Center for an all day Advent Retreat • Gathered for “Pizza, Pray, and Play” here on campus
On March 7th we’ll be participating in a day long retreat with NET Ministries entitled “Ignite the Flame.” This promises to be an unforgettable event.
B’Tween Life is open to any Middle School child here in our Parish family and we’ll have lots more activities coming up. We’ll even have our own website soon! So keep a look out for “what’s up” and come along and join in the fun.
