LIFE TEEN MISSION STATEMENT
To create a Catholic environment that brings teens closer to Christ. Our program dedicates itself to building relationships through liturgy, prayer, service, and fellowship. At St. Catherine's, we offer teens a "community" of peers and adults that help further their growth in faith and fellowship.
ABOUT LIFE TEEN
The SCS Life Teen program is for high school teenagers of the parish and is designed to bring them closer to Christ through service, weekly events, prayer and liturgy.
PRAYER AND LITURGY
Prayer is essential in developing a relationship with God. The most important part of our Life Teen program is the Sunday 5pm “Teen Mass.” This Mass focuses on teens with a welcoming environment, relevant contemporary music, teen greeters, and an engaging homily which speaks to the issues of life. Teens also serve as ushers, lectors and Eucharistic Ministers. Teens are always needed to serve in these liturgical roles. Contact Sheri Entz at lifeteen@stcatherinercc.org to become involved in any of the liturgical ministries. Training for these ministries is required.
SERVICE
Teens are called to an adult role in the church. Service is the center of that commitment. Multiple service projects provide all teens the opportunity to serve others; such as, The St. Francis Table, the annual mission trip, and The Living Stations of the Cross.
WEDNESDAY NITE LIVE!!!!!
Who says Catholicism has to be boring? At SCS we believe that Jesus gives us reasons to be joyful and to be excited about life. We know it is more fun to learn about your faith with your friends. Wednesday Night Live (WNL) is held every Wednesday evening from 7:30-8:45pm. Please join us for the Sunday 5pm Life Teen Mass.
During Life Teen events, we gather for fun, food, and spiritual formation with one another. Our hope is that every Teen Life experience is not just fun, but also challenges our teens to deepen their relationship with God and to know more about their Catholic faith. We do all we can to guarantee that things we do will be a good time for everyone.
