A third podcast of the ongoing “Back to the Basics” adult education program has been added to the website.  This podcast entitled, THE MASS, takes you step-by-step through the origin and meaning of each part of the Mass. This informative program, conducted by Gary Shirley, Adult Education Catechist, also includes a link where you can view or download copies of the slides Mr. Shirley used in his presentation.

Long time parishioner Ruth Stormark passed from this world on Tuesday, July 6th.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Catherine’s on Friday, July 16th at 10:30 am. Friends and parishioners are invited to attend.

Deacon Tom Zahuta

"The priest is a gift from the heart of Christ, a gift for the Church and for the world," so said the Holy Father just last week.  How appropriate as the family of St. Catherine’s is about to witness the delivery of another "gift" in the form of Father Tom Zahuta. He will be ordained "Father Tom" in a celebration at the Cathedral of Christ the King on Saturday, June 26th.

So begins a statement of released by professors of law and theology from across the US.  And the stand that these professors have taken show us what we must do.
