"The priest is a gift from the heart of Christ, a gift for the Church and for the world," so said the Holy Father just last week.  How appropriate as the family of St. Catherine’s is about to witness the delivery of another "gift" in the form of Father Tom Zahuta. He will be ordained "Father Tom" in a celebration at the Cathedral of Christ the King on Saturday, June 26th.

Father Tom will then celebrate his first Mass the following day (27th) at 11:30am here at St. Catherine’s – his home church.  Following the Mass there will be a reception in Herbert Hall and everyone in the Parish is invited.

"One of the goods of the church is the vocations of those men who, conquered by the Lord Jesus, leave everything behind to dedicate themselves completely to the Christian community, following the example of the Good Shepherd", proclaimed Pope Benedict XVI. The community that is St. Catherine’s wishes Father Tom all the best as he begins his new endeavor in the Faith.
