Dear St. Catherine Parish Family,
Archbishop Hartmayer recently sent out a communication extending the dispensation to attend Sunday Mass due to the pandemic through August 30th. He further states, "Those who are healthy, willing and able to comply with safety protocols and who wish to attend are encouraged to do so. Those who are at high-risk of complications from COVID-19 or who are caretakers for the vulnerable are encouraged to participate in an online or televised liturgy."
At St. Catherine's, we have been very blessed to be able to have Mass outdoors, which provides a setting that is much lower risk, and I would encourage those who are able and not at high-risk to join us on Sundays out on the field at 8:30am, 10:15am, 12:00pm (Spanish), or 5:00pm
Additionally, to try to assist those in our senior population who feel they would like to try to attend Mass in a reduced-risk setting, beginning August 8th, I will be offering an additional Mass on Saturday evenings at 4:30pm on the parish hall patio for seniors only, 65 years or older.
Please be aware, as well, that beginning August 9th, I will be moving our Sunday evening Mass time from 5:00pm to 4:30pm in order to accommodate the timing for our Families Forming Disciples program which will begin at the end of August.
