Dear St. Catherine Parish Family,
This week we celebrate Catholic Schools Week. We recall, in a special way, the gift of Catholic education. The Catechism reminds us that parents are the primary educators of their children. The Church, however, assists parents in fulfilling this duty and provides them with support to help form their children especially in the ways of faith and virtue.
In our parish, we support the education of our children in a variety of ways. We encourage and assist those parents who homeschool, and we offer wonderful religious education programs for all our families. In addition, we are blessed to be able to provide a comprehensive education and formation through our Catholic preschool and grade school.
I have always had an affinity for Catholic schools since I myself am a product of Catholic schools. If you have never considered the possibility of Catholic schools for your children, I would encourage you to do so. Many often feel that Catholic schools are not affordable for their family. Our preschool director, grade school principal, and I are committed, however, to doing whatever we can to make it possible for every family who wishes to send their children to our schools to be able to do so. We offer generous tuition assistance and scholarships and are working to expand these possibilities even more in the future.
If you have any questions about our Catholic schools or would like to take a tour, please feel free to contact our offices. You can find the appropriate contact information in the school section of our bulletin or by visiting our website.
