Dear St. Catherine Parish Family,
Our RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) program will be starting up in the coming weeks. This program is for those who are interested in entering into the Catholic Church and for adult Catholics who have not yet received the sacrament of Confirmation. For those who are not baptized, the process will culminate in the reception of the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Holy Communion at the Easter Vigil in April. For those who are already baptized, the process will culminate in full initiation into the Catholic Church through the sacraments of Confirmation and Holy Communion at the Easter Vigil as well.
The process begins with what are called Inquiry Sessions. The Inquiry Sessions provide an opportunity for those who are interested in exploring the possibility of becoming Catholic to ask questions about the Catholic faith or to simply learn more about the RCIA process. There is no commitment involved, and the sessions are very informal.
I wanted to take an opportunity to invite anyone who is interested in learning more about the process for becoming Catholic to consider attending one of our Inquiry Sessions which will be held Monday, August 7th and August 14th at 7:30pm in room 202 in the Our Lady of Grace building near the parish offices. If you would like more information about our RCIA program, please feel free to contact our RCIA director, Dr. Paul Thigpen at pault@stcatherinercc.org or by calling the parish office.
