We are excited to be hosting our annual Faith and Love Conference again this year on February 26th at St. Catherine’s from 9:00am to 3:30pm. This is an annual major-speaker conference to grow in our understanding of the Church's beautiful teachings on marriage and human sexuality. Our presenters will be Dr. Edward Sri and Dr. John Bergsma, two internationally-known speakers and scholars. Early-bird registration is $25/person through January 24th and includes lunch. We will also have Catholic organization and vendor exhibits during the lunch hour (information on how to sign up to exhibit is on the registration form). Dr. Edward Sri

Dr. Edward Sri is a founding leader of FOCUS (Fellowship of Catholic University Students), where he currently serves as Sr. Vice President of Apostolic Outreach. He is also a theologian, author and well-known Catholic speaker who appears regularly on EWTN. Each year he speaks to tens of thousands of people from around the world, including clergy, parish leaders, catechists and laity. He is the author of over a dozen books including Men, Women and the Mystery of Love: Practical Insights from John Paul II's Love and Responsibility which will be the topic of his presentations at the conference. 

 

Dr. John Bergsma

Dr. John Bergsma is a highly popular Catholic speaker and author, as well as a renowned expert in Scripture and theology. He is a senior fellow at the St. Paul Center for Biblical Theology and a professor of theology at Franciscan University of Steubenville. A former Protestant pastor, Dr. Bergsma entered the Catholic Church in 2001 while getting his Ph.D. in Bible from the University of Notre Dame. Bergsma speaks regularly on Catholic radio and at conferences and parishes nationally and internationally. He is the author of several books including The Bible and Marriage: The Two Shall Become One Flesh which will be topic of his presentations at the conference.
